I am seeking your endorsement and valuable vote to champion our shared values of accountability, integrity, commitment and advocacy in our members & leaders.
As a union leader, I have a proven track record of successfully representing members in a wide variety of grievances and mediations. I fiercely believe in a workplace that promotes inclusiveness, transparency, fairness and equitable staffing practices. I will work tirelessly to keep our employer responsible for encouraging & maintaining a work environment of mutual respect that is free from intimidation.
As a past member of the Human Resources Union-Management Consultation Committee, ICMS National Advisory Committee & Regional Union-Management Consultation Committee, I have contributed in the following consultation and joint learning process:
HRSDC Guideline on Duty to Accommodate in the workplace;
HRSDC Employment Equity long-term action plan;
HRSDC Reimbursement of Tuition Fees Directive;
Respectful Workplace E-Training and the Objective Eyes project;
Service Canada College, Departmental New Employees Orientation Program;
Review on the Public Service Employment Act and Staffing Practice;
Co-deliver Train-the-Trainer ICMS (Informal Conflict Management System) Access
Regional Citizenship & Immigration and the Public Service Labour Relations Board,
Interest Based Negotiation & Mediation training.
I have also demonstrated my union activism in several initiatives and roles:
Successful adoption of the groundbreaking CEIU Unjust Profiling Policy; a first in our
Recommending courses of action on employment equity and human rights matters for
PSAC Equal Opportunity Committee, CEIU Human Rights/Race Relations Committee,
PSAC Members with Disabilities Committee and OFL Human Rights Committee.

I am an avid believer of equality and the right to a respectful work environment. As well, I place a high value on the opinions of members and strongly encourage grassroots involvement. With your ideas and input, combined with my experience as an Integrity Services Investigator, I will work diligently with you and other leaders to build on our past successes and ensure accessible accommodation for all employees. Furthermore, I will continue to advocate for the protection of our term employees, campaign for impartial retention & advancement opportunities for our members as well as their Health & Safety.
