It is performance management season which means that supervisors and managers will be going over your job objectives. Not all managers handle this the same way. If you have problems, questions or concerns, please see your local VP Point of Service or send an email to email@example.com .
To be clear, the union cannot grieve performance management issues because performance management is not in the collective bargaining agreement. However, we can raise concerns directly with management on members behalf without naming individuals.
It is recommended that if management provides opportunities for members to ask questions about performance management, that members should take those opportunities and to speak up about their concerns. It is also recommended that members seek to get their managers to clarify their intentions around action plans and what managers intend to do before an action plan is put into place.
